"Jason. Jason!"
"What?"
Shaking out of his deep thoughts the wolf looked up at his younger sister and her two best friends who were busy enjoying ice cream in an open back yard.
"Sorry little sis." He sighed, "Just got a lot on my mind..."
"Like what's happening with Alex?" The rabbit nick named Eevee asked. The others quickly look over.
"How'd you-"
"Well...we were gonna meet up and play video games with Lara and Kira...but when Alex got there...there was this black blob thingy that I kept seeing out of the corner of my eye... and Lara and Kira could see it too! It's like those really bad dreams she's having are-"
"Spreading to other people...?" Lindsey swallowed nervously.
"Yeah! It's almost like Fatal Frame 3!" Eevee jumped up, almost dropping her triple scoop of chocolate.
"..." Jason thought for a minute, but before he could respond Natalie spoke up.
"Your parents let you play something that scary?!"
"It's fun to me!" Eevee shrugged as the other two girls huffed softly, feeling defeated by Eevee's incredible courage.
Shaking his head Jason stood up.
"Guys, I gotta go. Stay safe, alright...?" He glanced at them with his arms folded across his chest.
"You got it!" Eevee smiled as Lindsey and Natalie nodded in agreement. With that, the older wolf left without a trace. The girls went silent.
"...You guys wanna play it?"
"Yes!!"

"Hnn..." Huffing, Jason walked down the street as he pulled his hood over his head, his hands in his pockets and so much running through his mind he didn't know where to start. Something this...bizzare never went down before...it was most definitely a first. Alex wasn't know for being so...Well...like this. Something practically haunting her like this wouldn't let up any time soon. And with this dark cloud following her, to the point where HE could see it, couldn't possibly be something made up. Plus she wouldn't have a reason to make it up...

"But where did this all start...?" He grumbled out loud and stopped in his tracks.
"The whole...demon crap is a thing of the past at this point...And only used for a life or death situations...Akuma hasn't showed up in months, almost a year...and the last time we fought someone...was...was..." He blinked and lifted his head as his eyes narrowed.
"...Is it her...Or him...?" His heart jumped up into his throat before his fangs were bared instinctively...He then quickly took off running.
"It has to be! There's no doubt! I need to-"
"Jason."
"Uh-?" Planting his foot onto the concrete a soft female voice echoed in his mind...A very familiar one at that.
"Please. Do not let your anger and suspicion get the best of you." She said again. The wolf narrowed his eyes at the ground as he came to a complete stop, whispering a bit to the voice, muttering a name.
"Hikari...? I haven't heard from you in...what feels like forever..."
"Indeed...But there is no time to make small talk. Please." Her voice echoed softly in his head, sending a calming spiritual tingle through his body that put his mind at ease whether he wanted it or not...
"...Visit me. Quickly. And as soon as you can...for Alex's sake..."
"Hikari..." Jason clenched his fists as he looked up, and quickly took off, hopping into the fire escape of an apartment building and commencing a parkour journey towards the angels blessed forest.

He closed his eyes and listened to the wind whistle through the trees above him...The tall green grass swayed in the breeze as an overwhelming feeling of love and safety washed over him...If only he could come here all the time to meditate...But now...he was here strictly on business...

"Jason...?"
"Jason...!"
"Oh, Jason...!"

Female voices called out from every angle...Sounding social, and calm. Curious, yet wise. He turned to look around, feeling as though these voices were from people in a different dimension...This was Hikari's domain after all...

"H-hikari...? I'm here." He murmered. Though the area was safe and secure from all forms of evil, the voices still made a chill go up the young wolf's spine...

Out of the blue, a flute began to play. White orbs of light seemed to flutter down from above, all around him - Souls. Destined for an eternity of ever lasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven.
"Jason!"
"Oh it's Jason!"
"Wonderful to see you Jason!"
Voices began to speak once more as the wolf rubbed his arm nervously.
"Um...Hello, souls...Er, angels...Or...whatever..." He muttered.
"Hehe." A voice giggled from among the tree tops.
"Hikari?" Jason knew that giggle anywhere. It had to have been the angel, "Hikari, I'm here! I need you to tell me what's going on with Alex! I'm worried sick for her...And now...I'm-"
"Seeing the same things..." She answered from behind him. He jumped and turned on a dime, huffing as he gave a small glare. The angel seemed to have aquired a new look to her. It made sense considering he hadn't seen her in some time...None of his comrades had. Her halo shined dimly in the light as her soft silver eyes focused on Jason's yellow ones. With her hands in front of her she bowed softly, and Jason did the same.
"Jason..." She spoke, "There is...A dark cloud...Following your beloved..."
"A...Dark cloud...?" He questioned and balled up a fist, "Is it Akuma??" He growled, "Or Blade? It HAS to be one of them!"
"No."
"N-no...?"
"It is...something much more...Otherwordly..."
"Other...wordly...?"
"This power is...Frightening...To my fellow saints and angels...It is as if....Lucifer has walked the Earth..."
"Y-you're....kidding me right...? As in...Lucifer. The Fallen Angel...As in the DEVIL himself?"
"Hm..." Hikari took on a worried expression, yet still seemed to be in complete control of her emotions.
For the angel to compare the evil following Alex to the Devil himself...this power...this...Monster must be more powerful than any of them could have ever imagined. As his mind raced with thoughts he spoke up again.
"Can you tell me how to stop this...Thing?"
"Not thing..." Hikari corrected, "Being..."
"..." Jason blinked, "So...whoever is making Alex suffer is hiding somewhere...?" Hikari nodded as she stared down at the ground.
"W-where ARE they? Where can I find them so I can end Alex's torment!?"
"Jason..." She came closer, placing a hand on his tense shoulder, relieving it of said tension before the wolf felt an overwhelming feeling of relaxation and peace.
"You must NOT take this enemy for granted...If you faulter in any way...You will be killed where you stand."
"G-...!" Jason's eyes widened in shock as he listened to her.
"N-...No way..."
"God will help you along as much as he can...as will I..." She reached for his palm and opened it, before putting a small pouch in it.
"Protect this at all costs...And when the time is right...It will dispell the darkness and cast it away..." She said. Jason looked down to it, "Do not open it until it is absolutely needed...Or else the spell will break, and its contents will not be as powerful as needed...Understood...?"
"Yes. Yes, I understand." He nodded.
"Good...May God smile upon you in this battle...You may return alive...but not unharmed..." She smiled sadly and turned to walk away, her wings preparing for flight.
"W-wait!" Jason called to her.
"Hm...?" She turned slightly as he blinked.
"Hikari..." He said her name softly, "Does this... 'being'... have a name...?"
She suddenly seemed distraught, as if saying the name could have possible consequences. Sighing, the angel crouched to look at a small patch of dirt, before writing something with her finger, and immediately taking flight, her wings causing a large gust of wind to blow over the area as Jason blinked. He slowly made his way over to the patch of dirt...And his ears pinned to his head as the fur on the back of his neck stood on end...
"X...Xela...?"
